１２月の聖句
全能の神が私に偉大なことをなされた。
〔ルカよる福音書 １章 ４９節〕
馬小屋の中で、元気な産声とともに現われた赤ちゃんを見た瞬間、マリアとヨゼフは心から「神さまありがとう！！」と、叫んだにちがいありません。この聖句は、「マリアの賛歌」と呼ばれる詩の一部です。それは、私たちが、子どもの誕生の瞬間に味わった、あの、感謝と喜びそのものです。こんな素晴らしい「いのち」を、私たちに授けてくださった。偉大な神のわざ！ 不思議！ イエス様も私たちの子どもと同様、両親の大きな感動と喜びの中で、全く無力で、全てを両親に頼って、そして、無条件に愛されて、生まれてこられたのです。聖母マリアと同じく、「偉大なことが自分に起こった」体験を持っている私たちは、無条件にわが子（たち）を愛することができる、私はそう思うのです。
赤ちゃんを寝かせるベッドさえない不安の旅路でも、ヨゼフは信仰によってマリアを優しく励まし、守りぬきました。この１年、私たちも守られ、子どもたちは様々な困難も乗り越えてこんなに成長しました。教会や幼稚園内に飾られる馬小屋のクリスマスシーンは、何をあなたに語りかけているでしょうか。ぜひ、他では体験できないクリスマスを味わってください。メリー クリスマス！

The Mighty God has done the great
things for me. (Luke 1:49)
Mary and Joseph must have exclaimed their thanks on the
moment of Jesus’ birth. This phrase also shows the same
delight as we experienced on the moment of our child’s
birth.: How great God could be to create such a fine
life! What a mysterious thing! Jesus’ parents loved
their son and he was totally vulnerable and dependent
on them just like our children. We can love our children
because we experienced the great things happened to us.
