９月の聖句 わたしは必ずあなたと共にいる。
〔出エジプト記 3章12節〕
「いれば いいの、いれば。」長男が5歳の時3番目の子どもを出産して私が入院中、長男と次男の世話をしに来てくれた母、つまり「おばあちゃん」に息子の言っていたことばです。東京郊外で借りていた家はやや大きく、息子は自由に家の内外を遊びまわって、時々おばあちゃんの居場所を確かめてはこう言っていたそうです。私達の心にも、自由にさせてはくれるけれど、かならず近くに居てくれる神様がぜったい必要です。温かく見守ってもらっていると思う時、心はのびのびとし、勇気がわき、挑戦や向上する積極性が出てきます。ところがパニックになって周りが見えなくしまうと、「神も仏もあるもんか！」となってしまうのが、人間の常。それでも、神様は静かにこう言われ続けています。「わたしは必ずあなたと共にいる。」ちなみに「てくむ」は Dominus te cum.（主はあなたとともにおられます。）から取っています。
♪♪すてきなようちえん♪♪
（園で見かけたすてきなできごとをご紹介します。）
★ 夏期保育期間は小さいお子さんを連れたおかあさんが何組か見学に来られました。その活発そうな女の子はひとりでトイレのほうに行き、トイレ用のピンクのスリッパを見つけてはいてきたようです。ゆりのｋくんが気がつき、「こっち、こっち。」と室内用のミッフィーちゃんのスリッパを揃えてあげました。その子が履き替えると、素早くピンクのスリッパをトイレに戻しに行ってくれました。
★ 園庭開放には連日たくさんのお友達がお母さんと一緒に来てくれました。卒園生で、妹に付き添ってきてくれたKくんは、じんばもんばが歩きコースの門のあたりで草取りを始めたのをおゆうぎ室から見て、声をかけてくれました。「せんせい、草とっとるの？ こんなあついひなのに・・・。」そのやさしいことばに、汗がひいていくようでした。
★ ばらぐみさんのaくん、ｙくんは毎日のように虫取り籠を持って元気に虫を探していました。ｆちゃんはおかあさんが来られない日はおばあちゃんを「案内して」園庭開放に来てくれました。どの子も、一緒に来た妹や弟をやさしく気遣って遊ぶ姿は微笑ましいものでした。
★ すみれぐみには、7月にオーストラリアから、8月にイギリスと草津から、転園したお友達が遊びに来てくれ、クラスに入ってみんなといっしょに過ごしました。数ヶ月のブランクが全く感じられないすてきな仲間です！
★ 2学期、たくさんのせみのぬけがらが木についていました。「ぼくも」「ぼくも」「わたしも」とたくさんの手が伸びた時、数個持っていたばらぐみのｓくんが、何も言わずそおっと、ゆりぐみの子たちの手のひらに1個ずつ配ってくれました。
☆ 公園の除草作業にご協力心から感謝いたします。
☆ 運動会の「お手伝い」ありがとうございます。座ってじっくり自分の子どもの様子を見たいのは誰も同じです。そんな時に、遊戯や競技の準備を手伝ってくれるお母さんに、テントを張ってくれたお父さんに、子どもは誇りを持つことでしょう。どうか、多数のご協力をお願いします。
☆ 9月、すみれぐみ、ばらぐみ、ゆりぐみ(2名)それぞれに園児が転入してきました。新しいお友だち、お母さん方に、声を掛けてあげてください。
☆ 公園での運動会の練習時間とその行き帰りに、保育士、八代雅子さんに付き添いをパート勤務で依頼しました。園外保育の安全に特に注意したいと思います。
★たのしいよ、えいご！！
「せんせい、きょう、えいご？」と、毎日のように聞いてくれるほど、英語はみんなにとってたのしい時間。歌ったり、踊ったり、ゲームをしたり、絵本を読んだり･･･。すみれぐみは、日本語を使わないレッスン。マフェ先生の指示やルールの説明を理解してよく反応しているこどもたちに、先生もびっくりしています。
1学期取り組んだ内容をご紹介します。1月には、英語参観で楽しい雰囲気をぜひ見てくださいね。

最後に『海の星』の英語レッスンの目的は
みんなが 「えいご、だ〜いすき！」と思ってくれる事
指導方針は以下のとおりです。
１、授業はとことん楽しいものでなくてはならない。
２、耳から聞いたとおりを音にできるのがよい。
３、｢まちがった、はずかしい。｣という思いをけっしてさせない。

※God said, “ I will be with you.” (Exodus 3:12)
My mother came to our house to take care of our two boys
while I was at hospital, after our daughter’s birth.
Our eldest one at age 5 played around our house and once
in a while checked where his grandma was, saying, “Just
made sure that you are there.” We need God to be with
us, while He gives us freedom to do what we want to do.
We feel free, encouraged and challenging, when we know
that God stays with us and watches us. Still if we
panic, we feel lost and shout, “Where in the world are
you, God?” Yet, God calmly says, “I am with you and
will be with you all the time.” “Te cum” comes from
“Dominus te cum”
☆ We appreciate your helping hands for cleaning
the playground and Undokai. Any parents want to sit down
and watch their own children, but the children would feel
proud of their parents to know that their parents are
working for others.
☆ Please say hello to the mothers and the children
who newly joined us this month.
☆ To be extra cautious on our daily trip to the
park for the undokai rehearsals, we have asked Ms. Yashiro
to accompany as a part time helper of our staff.
♪♪Sutekina Yochien♪♪
＊ During summer school several young children with
their mothers visited us. One girl put on a pair of
slippers in the toilet and walked around the hall.
As k-kun noticed it, he brought a proper pair for her,
saying “(You should put on) these!” When she changed
them he just kindly took the slippers back to the toilet.
＊ Many children came to our Open House during
vacation accompanied by their family. A first-grade boy
spotted me weeding in the back yard through the window
and said, “You are weeding? On such a hot day…”
He sounded so gentle that I didn’t mind sweating any more.
＊ Y-kun and A-kun came to the Open House with their
insect nets almost every day. F-chan even “brought” her
grandma, as her mother could not make it one day. They all
paid much attention to their little brothers and sisters
and behaved well while playing together.
＊ A former classmate visited Sumire from Australia
in July. Another came from Kusatsu and the other was from
UK on the same day in August, and they all joined Sumire
class so naturally, having great time together.
＊ On the first day of September, our children found
many cicadas’ shells on the tree. “Give me one.”
Several hands stretched to grab them. S-kun in Bara,
picked them in his hands one by one to give to Yuri children.
